About SDN 6 Akar Akar

SDN 6 Akar Akar is located in the Bayan sub-district of East Lombok. The school serves 147 students and 8 teachers. Before the earthquakes of 2018, SDN 6 Akar Akar had six permanent classrooms and one teachers’ office. Those classrooms were occupied by 1st to 6th grade students. The earthquakes damaged three of these classrooms badly enough that they were no longer considered to be a safe learning environment for the children. We have supported three temporary classrooms at SDN 6 Akar Akar to replace these damaged classrooms. Each classroom has been supplied with a filing cabinet, blinds, a whiteboard, a cleaning kit, books and stationery supplies. Construction of the three pop up classrooms began on the 17th of February 2020. Construction was completed on the 29th of February 2020 and classrooms have been occupied since the 3rd of March 2020.
