About SDN 4 Santong

SDN 4 Santong Block School consists of one staff room and one fully furnished classroom fitted with lights, fans, and power points and fully furnished with desks and chairs, whiteboards, a filing cabinet, and a storage cupboard. Two new Block Toilets have also been built at the school to ensure improve sanitation standards and prevent hygiene related illnesses. The construction of the new building and toilets emphasises the importance of education to the whole community and provides an incentive for the children to complete their primary education. These permanent structures provide a safe and motivating learning environment for the students. Parents will feel comfortable knowing that the Block School and Block Toilets are earthquake-resistant, which will encourage them to allow their children to pursue education.

"Rebuilding schools that were affected by the earthquake in Lombok in 2018 is an extraordinary thing. Rebuilding these schools using bricks from recycled plastic waste and making them a quality, environmentally friendly, safe and earthquake-resistant learning place is a miracle."
