About Rural Indigenous Sustainable Education (RISE)
Rural Indigenous Sustainable Education (RISE) is an organisation established by a coalition of indigenous civil society organisations (CSOs) with a shared mission to ensure high quality, culturally appropriate education for indigenous children in Myanmar. Together with our in-country partner, Child’s Dream, we contributed funds towards supporting RISE with one school building (with four fully-furnished classrooms), a two-storey boarding house, a kitchen, eight toilets, two shower rooms, two storerooms, and a water system. The construction was successfully completed on 6 April 2020.
"Infrastructure developments, such as school buildings, are a very important part of soft skill development in the education system, not only strengthening the quality but also the relevance of education in our country"
Tint Maw - Country Director Myanmar - Child's Dream
