About Khum Koh Chivaing Primary School
Located in Anlong Ta Ou Village in Battambang Province, Cambodia, Khum Koh Chivaing Primary School was desperately in need of a new school building. Khum Koh Chivaing Primary School was built in 1964 and consisted of two floating wooden buildings, a larger one with four classrooms and a smaller one with three classrooms. The smaller building was still in good condition, but the other building was on the verge of collapse and beyond repair. This old wooden building posed a danger to the children and therefore urgently needed to be replaced.
To address this pressing situation, we supported Anlong Ta Ou Village with the construction of one new concrete school building including a total of six fully-furnished classrooms and eight new toilets. The new school building replaces the larger dilapidated building, while the smaller building has been donated to another school. Construction of Khum Koh Chivaing Primary School was fully completed on 23 June 2021.
"A school building is not only providing access to a secure learning environment for children but also contributing to the long-term development of individuals and society."
